This half term Year Two have been looking at Judaism and the festivals of Hanukkah and Sukkot. As a class we thought that we would look at what foods the Jewish people would have to celebrate the end of Hanukkah. We decided to make potato latkes as part of our DT curriculum: To use a wide range of ingredients safely and hygienically.

The children really enjoyed looking at the ingredients and mixing them to create their potato latkes but I’m not sure they all enjoyed tasting them!!
