Christmas Fun in Reception Class

Looking back at this busy week I just can't believe how much fun and how many interesting and exciting Christmas activities we have enjoyed. We started the week with snow on the ground and the children really enjoyed exploring the ice and snow in our outdoor area.

We have also completed several design technology challenges this week including making: pop-up Santas, Christmas tree decorations and also making a sleigh for Santa to use to deliver his presents.

Yesterday we had a wonderful time at the pantomime, Aladdin, which was very entertaining. The children loved the whole thing including the exciting ride on a double-decker bus!

Today we have had even more excitement with the second performance of our nativity. The children have worked really hard learning all the songs and should be proud of their performances on Wednesday and Friday.

Also today, the children were really thrilled to receive replies to their letters to Father Christmas/Santa which we posted off to the North Pole last week. Each child has brought their reply home in their reading bag today.
