On Monday we started our Stone Age topic.  In order for the children to get a grasp of just how long ago this was we used a toilet roll to represent the years.  Each sheet of toilet roll equalled 30 years of time.  The children discussed events from the all the different time periods they could remember.

When the toilet roll was fully unwrapped, we had reached the Stone Age.
