This week the pupils have taken part in an engineering day with the aim of celebrating the world of engineering. Classes started with children thinking about what they thought engineering was and drawing what they thought an engineer would look like. With most children drawing men, we talked about all children’s aspirations and being whatever they wanted. Teachers then introduced the children to a range of engineering jobs and carried out fun tasks to design, create, test and modify different products from kites, bridges, boats and egg catchers. The children have had great fun this week ans learned a lot and a big thank you also to the parents who came to talk to the pupils about their engineering jobs.
