Year 5 took part in a virtual competition this week.  They had to complete 4 different activities, each 4 minutes long.  The children really enjoyed the session, even if they were worn out by the end of it!

Year four have taken part in a virtual competition this afternoon. They had to complete four different P.E skills in three and a half minutes, scoring points as they completed each task.

Well done to green group who were the overall winners in year 4. 

Our handball team have qualified for the finals! They will take place on Monday 22nd May!

Today Mrs Smith came to school to complete the Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 Virtual Competition. All of the children tried very hard and we will now wait patiently for the results!

Over the last few weeks year 5 have been developing their rounders skills.  They have learnt how to bowl, bat and field.  

Today they put these skills together to play a simple game of rounders.

Today Year 3 have been practising their rounders skills in PE.  After 2 weeks of practising throwing, batting and fielding skills, today children began to play a rounders game. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and performed really well!

Cross Country Club started last Friday and  it was wonderful to see so many children taking part and getting active!

Yesterday afternoon Gillibrand’s Netball Team played in the finals at Southlands. After three hard fought games against good opposition, Gilliband were declared the winners! All the players displayed a fantastic attitude, played well as a team and gave 100% effort!  Well…
